Community Grant Application/DUSA Gift Shop History

The DUSA Gift Shop, operated since 1956 by The Society of the Daughters of the U.S. Army (DUSA), West Point Chapter, a not-for-profit organization, operates out of the West Point Museum. Along with the Museum, the DUSA Gift Shop has grown considerably and now offers a wide selection of books (Revolutionary War and West Point History), West Point Class Crest items, as well as Army gifts and quality memorabilia of the United States Military Academy.

DUSA is a 501(c)(4) private, not-for-profit organization that serves the West Point community through volunteer acts of service, opportunities to learn and promote military traditions and heritage through free events. Proceeds from our gift shop are donated back to the community in the form of grants and scholarships.
Last year, DUSA was proud to present $30,836.14 to 35 Grants to 29 organizations from West Point, Highland Falls, Town of Highland Falls, Fort Montgomery, Cornwall, and Orange County.

All Grants awarded are required to demonstrate how their Grant request supported the DUSA mission. The DUSA mission statement emphasizes serving the West Point Community, sharing the ideals of Army Officership, inspiring women, preserving Army heritage and encouraging patriotism.
